Immersive viewing puts the running twin in front of a group at a scale people can judge. The simulation runs exactly as in the browser; only the output changes, so a machine can be walked around instead of looked at on a monitor.
Stereo 3D, display walls and Flystick control are part of realvirtual Commercial as a Beta (since 6.6.0).
What it is for
Section titled “What it is for”- Design reviews at a powerwall – A team stands in front of the machine at real size and checks clearances, reach and layout together.
- Customer presentations in a projection room – Show the running line to visitors before it exists, with depth and from the tracked viewer’s position.
- 1:1 acceptance – Walk through the finished plant model with the customer and agree on changes while the moving parts are in view.
Two building blocks
Section titled “Two building blocks”| Building block | What it does | Page |
|---|---|---|
| Stereo 3D | Sends a separate image to each eye on any 3D-capable screen, for use with 3D glasses | Stereo 3D |
| Display walls | Renders the model as seen through a measured wall, with multiple outputs, head tracking (ART DTrack, OptiTrack NatNet) and Flystick control | Display Walls |
Start with Stereo 3D if you have a single 3D screen. Use a display wall when you need a measured LED wall or projection surface that follows the viewer’s head.
