Work with Claude in realvirtual WEB
Ask Claude to inspect your model, make edits or work with the simulation directly from realvirtual WEB. The chat uses your own installed Claude Code, your subscription, your configuration, your MCP servers and your skills. CONNECT starts the session and connects it to the viewer.
The panel currently uses German labels. The steps below name the buttons as they appear.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Claude Code installed and signed in on the Windows PC running CONNECT, with a subscription that supports Channels. Pro/Max can use it directly; for Team/Enterprise, your administrator must allow Channels (
channelsEnabled). - realvirtual CONNECT running on that PC. See CONNECT overview for the download and setup.
- AI Bridge enabled in the viewer and connected to CONNECT. Complete its access consent if prompted. See AI Assistant (Bridge).
Quick start
Section titled “Quick start”- Click the Chat button in the viewer toolbar to open Agent chat.
- Click Claude-Sitzung starten (“Start Claude session”). Claude Code starts in a hidden console whose screen appears under Konsolenspiegel.
- Read and answer the startup dialogs yourself in Konsolenspiegel: the development-channel warning and, for a new working folder, the folder-trust dialog. Use ↑, ↓ and Enter to select and confirm your choice. Folder trust defaults to No, exit; pressing Enter without changing that choice exits Claude. If your configuration shows additional prompts, answer those too. CONNECT never confirms them for you. Use Antwort in der Konsole for a text answer.
- Wait for verbunden, then type in Nachricht and click Senden, or press Enter. Shift+Enter inserts a new line. Try: “What is loaded in the viewer? Describe the top-level parts before making any changes.”
While Claude works, you can read its replies and expand the actions beneath your message. Further messages wait in Warteschlange and are sent together after the current work finishes.
To use a visible console, choose Im Terminal starten instead and answer prompts in that window. Befehl kopieren copies the launch command once one is available. Under Verbindung, check the working folder and whether CONNECT-Tools says verbunden.
Choose what Claude may do
Section titled “Choose what Claude may do”Select a mode under Modus. These modes govern tools reached through this chat’s CONNECT connection:
| Panel label | Meaning | Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Immer fragen | Always ask | Reads run freely; changes ask for approval. |
| Edits automatisch | Edits automatically (default) | Classified edits run automatically within a 24-change budget. Simulation and other non-read tool classes ask. |
| Alles erlauben | Allow all | Classified tools run without the change budget. Unclassified tools still ask. |
Outside Alles erlauben, batches count each entry toward the budget. CONNECT can ask whether to continue after reaching it. Existing CONNECT write restrictions still apply.
Permission cards show where the request comes from:
- Freigabe · CONNECT Gate asks about a CONNECT tool. Choose Erlauben for this call, Immer erlauben to remember that classified tool while CONNECT remains running, or Ablehnen. Remembering a tool does not remove the budget, and unclassified tools continue to ask.
- Freigabe · Claude Code relays Claude Code’s own request, such as writing a file or using another MCP server. Choose Erlauben or Ablehnen. Your Claude Code permission rules still apply, including in Alles erlauben.
Expand Details to inspect a request before answering. Startup dialogs are answered in Konsolenspiegel, separately from these permission cards.
Stop and start a new conversation
Section titled “Stop and start a new conversation”Click Stop to interrupt the current work. In the hidden console, CONNECT sends Esc to Claude Code and blocks further non-read CONNECT calls for the stopped turn. In a separately opened terminal, it sends Claude a stop message. A call already running may still finish; Stop does not undo changes or guarantee cancellation of work in other MCP servers.
Wait while the panel reports Warte auf Abschluss laufender Aufrufe. If it reports Abschluss unbekannt, inspect the console and choose Fortsetzen to release the next queued turn, or Verwerfen to discard the queued messages. The chat does not automatically resend a message whose completion is unclear.
Click Neu to clear the conversation and queued messages. In the hidden-console session, this also clears Claude’s conversation context. If you started Claude in a separate terminal, use /clear there as well. Starting a new conversation does not undo model changes.
Data and current limits
Section titled “Data and current limits”Messages, tool results and attached images go to your Claude Code session and from there to Anthropic.
Claude Code Channels are a Research Preview. Startup warnings and channel availability can change with Claude Code versions or organization policy. The chat currently has no undo for an entire message; use the editor’s undo for supported individual changes.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Channel-Verbindung fehlgeschlagen (handshake-failed). Open Konsolenspiegel and check for an unanswered development-channel warning or trust dialog. Confirm that your organization allows Channels and update an old Claude Code installation. A “plugin not installed” notice can be a false alarm with the session plugin: a successful connection check and verbunden show that the channel works. If the check still fails, inspect the console’s actual error.
Claude Code nicht gefunden (“Claude Code not found”). Install Claude Code on the CONNECT PC, sign in and check that claude --version works in a terminal. CONNECT searches PATH and the usual installer locations. If it is installed elsewhere, set AgentChat:ClaudePath to its executable path and restart CONNECT.
No active connection to CONNECT. Check that CONNECT is running and that this tab owns the AI Bridge connection. In the panel, use Erneut verbinden if offered; see the AI Bridge setup.
