PLC Logics

PLC Logics are pre-built automation control components that implement common industrial automation patterns. These components bridge the gap between traditional PLC programming logic and Unity-based digital twin simulations, providing ready-to-use control logic for typical automation scenarios.

PLC Logic components are designed to work seamlessly with realvirtual’s drive system, sensors, and PLC signal interfaces, enabling rapid prototyping and implementation of automation sequences without custom scripting.

  • Pre-built Control Logic: Common automation patterns ready for immediate use
  • PLC Signal Integration: Direct connection to PLCInput and PLCOutput signals for external system integration
  • Drive System Integration: Native support for realvirtual Drive components
  • Sensor Integration: Automatic response to sensor states and conditions
  • State Management: Built-in status tracking and sequence management

Automatically stops a drive when a sensor detects an object, commonly used for conveyor systems and material handling applications.

Coordinates synchronized movement between three axes to perform automated pick and place operations with configurable positions and timing.

  1. Component Setup: Add PLC Logic components to empty GameObjects in your scene hierarchy
  2. Reference Assignment: Connect drives, sensors, and PLC signals through the Inspector
  3. Position Configuration: Set target positions and operational parameters as needed
  4. Integration Testing: Verify component behavior with your external PLC or control system

PLC Logic components are designed to integrate with external control systems through realvirtual’s interface system:

  • OPC-UA: Industrial standard communication protocol
  • S7 TCP: Direct connection to Siemens PLCs
  • Modbus: Serial and TCP communication support
  • Custom Interfaces: Extensible architecture for proprietary systems
